The SEE II Air Foil is a surface mounted unit installed at the top rear of a school bus, freight truck, delivery truck, ambulance or stock trailer. It consists of an outer and inner foil. The design function is to collect oncoming air, change the direction and increase the speed while shooting it down vertically against the rear of the vehicle. This keeps debris of the air and weather from collecting or adhering to the rear end.
The most common complaint from the drivers of the above noted vehicles is that poor visibility is a safety problem. Motorists can also experience confusion while approaching the rear of of a school bus, freight & delivery truck, ambulance, and/or cargo & stock trailer due to the snow or dirt pack coating the tail lights. The SEE II Air Foil is very effective in preventing this hazardous situation. It is certain that many rear end collisions will be avoided with the use of the SEE II Air Foil.

Rear-end accidents with school buses had become common place due to unobservant motorists. These types of accidents were resulting in children sometimes being hurt and the school’s insurance rate increasing. Although rear-end collisions with school buses are not the fault of the bus driver, dirty lights due to snow, dirt and mud build ups are a huge contributing factor in these type of accidents including many backing-up accidents as well.
In 2009 we began expanding into other markets such as freight and delivery trucks. Since this expansion, several large freight and delivery truck manufacturers have been installing and testing foils on their trucks.
Most accidents involve rear end collisions due to poor visibility because of accumulated dirt and/or snow pack. The See II Air Foil provides cleaner, clearer windows and lights, reflective surfaces and I.D. lettering which allows both driver and other motorists to see danger sooner and react to avoid it more quickly.
The SEE II Air Foil saves many hours per year in accumulated cleaning times which is especially problematic when temperatures are below freezing.
The SEE II Air Foil disrupts the vacuum draft created on the rear end as the vehicle parts the air. This results in improved fuel economy.
